Color Block Jam Level 685 Walkthrough for All Versions
Level 685 alternates between a star/conveyor version and a chain/key version. Both layouts punish early center moves, so clear the exit lanes before pushing the large center pieces.
Level 685 Version 1
Version 1 - Star Blocks, Conveyor Lanes, 15 and 8
This Level 685 version includes star-covered purple blocks, a top 15 gate, a right 8 gate, and conveyor-style lanes on the left and bottom.

Board Analysis
- Top exits include red, cyan 15, and blue. Side exits include cyan, purple, green, and orange; bottom exits include green, yellow, and conveyor lanes.
- The purple star cluster in the bottom center prevents the lower exits from working until the left and right side lanes are opened.
- The light-blue 15 at the top and 8 at the right are delayed gates; they should clear after surrounding color blocks have moved.
Recommended Route
- 1Start by freeing the left purple vertical and the small orange/purple stack near the lower-left side.
- 2Clear the right side by moving the orange horizontal block and green/cyan stacks, making room around the 8 gate.
- 3Use the conveyor lanes only when they push a piece toward its matching exit; avoid sending a block into the center.
- 4After both side lanes open, move the purple star cluster out of the bottom center.
- 5Finish by clearing the top 15 and right 8 gates, then drain remaining cyan, yellow, and green pieces through bottom exits.
Avoid These
- Moving the purple star cluster before either side lane is open.
- Using the conveyor lane to shift a block away from its matching exit.
Level 685 Version 2
Version 2 - Center Chain 6 With Six Key Blocks
This Level 685 version has a center chain 6, key blocks on red, orange, green, cyan, yellow, and purple pieces, and multi-color edge exits.

Board Analysis
- Top exits include green and red. Both side edges contain stacked color exits, and the bottom has green and orange exits.
- The center blue block is chained with lock 6, so the board cannot open until enough key/clear progress has happened around it.
- Key blocks surround the chain. The red and green key blocks near the center are the most important because they decide whether the blue row can move.
Recommended Route
- 1Open the upper-left and upper-right corners first by moving small cyan, yellow, and red blocks toward their exits.
- 2Move the red key and green key near the center only after their side lanes are clear; they should create space around the chain, not fill it.
- 3Clear the lower left purple/yellow stack and lower right orange/yellow stack to make bottom exits usable.
- 4Release the center chain 6 once the blue row has a clear horizontal route.
- 5After the chain opens, drain the blue and central vertical pieces, then clean up the remaining side blocks.
Avoid These
- Trying to move the chained blue center before the key blocks have opened space.
- Parking key blocks in the middle instead of sending them toward their exits.
Expert Tips
- On Level 685, solve the edges first and the center second.
- Star and chain mechanics both become easier after two side lanes are open.
- Do not use power-up-style movements as a substitute for opening the real exit path.
Tips & Strategies
- 1.Advanced pattern recognition needed
- 2.Follow the video step-by-step carefully
- 3.Consider taking breaks if stuck
